Cross Tray Sorter
About the Eurosort Cross Tray Sorter
The EuroSort Cross Tray Sorter is unique in the automated sortation market. After years of watching traditional sorters such as cross-belt sorters we noticed they all had the same problems; High cost, high maintenance and products falling off the carrier.
Therefore our team developed a product that combined the benefits or our existing product range with the requirements of customers looking to sort high volumes inside and outside of the sorter.
Due to its unique design our Cross Tray Sorter can easily sort the smallest, lightest, and least conveyable items and can handle small to medium parcels, e-commerce items, fashion, shoe boxes, sportswear and pharmaceutical products.
Innovation at its finest
Here at EuroSort, we think a little differently. While the rest of the industry was content to stick with cross-belt sorters that allowed product to fall off of the sorter around turns, EuroSort wasn’t. To fix this age old problem, we started from the begining and designed a tray that contained each and every item within it’s four walls, regardless of shape, size, material type, or weight. We then crafted it to mechanically divert, eliminating expensive motors in each carrier, and doing away with the complicated and maintenance prone power transfer. This not only made for a more robust, less expensive sorter, but it also makes for a quiet machine that requires little maintence.

Benefits of the Cross Tray Sorter
Even though the Cross Tray Sorter was only launched in 2019, it is already in use in several locations around the world. Companies that are using the Cross Tray Sorter are experiencing some unique benefits not seen with other similar products in the market:
- Enclosed Sorter Tray: The tray is enclosed on all sides so items stay in place around turns. No products flying out in corners, increasing accuracy and reducing rework.
- Two-Sided, forced discharge: This maintains a compact footprint and eliminates sort errors and rework. It also works well with small, leightweight and cylindrical items
- Proven Friction Drive System: This leads to extremely low energy consumption and no chains breaking down.
- Light Construction: Due to the materials used the sorter can also be used on a mezzanine floor.
- No Weld Framework: The sorter is completely assembled without the need to weld anything. This makes it very flexible in lay-out and if required can also be repositioned or moved to another facility.
- Lower Investment Cost: No motors in the carriers (compared to Cross Belts) and no expensive automatic induction systems required.
